HI All! Sorry been so long but you know how it is ......
Well to update we left Luxor and arrived in the UK in time to surprise Jo for her important birthday. Mr B did an excellent job of making a great party for her and all us attendees. It was great to see you all, very lucky to nick her party to say HI to you. We were also in time for Charlotte's birthday as well. We spent the best time with both Char and Thom having a great visit. Whizzed round and saw lots of you, apologies to those we missed this time. Next time for sure! The only blot was the UK weather and Martin's cold which slowed us down, we ended the trip snowed in in Geddington, missed flights home and stayed an extra 2 days. Was worried Reg would starve but as you can expect he didn't. Anne looked after him very well, he now has a taste for dog biscuits as he kept folowing her home and pinching Pips dinner. Trying to wean him off till next winter. Of course he was there to welcome us when we finally made it home. Also for all those doubters the Jalopy started 1st time after being left in a car park for best part of 3 months. Hurrah for Jalopy although he is acting up alittle now ......
The house seems to have weathered the winter fairly well showing only a couple of leaks. We are busy readying the Spitti for our visitors, looking forward to seeing you all! Still got some spaces, just call before you book.
Life here is quiet, we have spent a few afternoons at the neighbours, which means we don't get much done on those days due to the Rakki induced sleep we find we need on our return home. Evenings by the fire, although the weather has changed already and we find no need to heat the water very often as the solar has kicked in and therfore can't always find excuse to light the woodburner.
Martin is finishing off the kitchen, will put some pics on. Looks great! In fact the whole house is looking good. I have even got around to sorting out all the stuff we jammed under beds in a last minute rush to have the place ready for visitors last year. Of course can't bring myself to through any away although we haven't used it for over 2years now.
For the Reg watchers out there he has been 'done'. No little Reg kittens from now on although he seemed to make up for lost time before we got him to the Vets. He has recovered well and think he maybe on his way to forgiveness.
