Got my first speeding ticket of the season. Got me bang to rights, the old Quality Mobile can motor for an Atos. Martin going to get me a speed govenor. DOH! Only went to Ierapetra Hotel to check the pool and food. Both were OK thank goodness but it turned into a very expensive trip. Off to try and pay it tomorrow.

Ground floor tiling nearly finished more pics by the weekend as can;t walk on it yet.

The floor tiles have arrived from Athens - HOORAH. Next Athens challenge is the kitchen. The guy says 2 weeks, so fingers and all things crossed for that.

They have begun the roof tiling, added pics however they do not do it justice and please remember this is early in process, couple of changes to be made and no grout yet. You can also see the start of the purgular.

The images show some before, durings and afters. For those who have visited recently you will probably see a great change, others, well show you when you get here!

We also now have the pipe for the downstairs wood burner so this can be installed so the last holes in the wall can be closed.

More soon, had to go sit on new tiles and drink coffee in evening sunshine. Later chaps!

Update

We had a great visit with Nanny Knowles and Dad, great guests and so very good to see them both! We also had a brief visit with Barry (Martins brother, wife, daughter) Anne and Louise. They managed to fit in and stay for the weekend. Hoping next time they come over they can have use of all the facilites.

Well all our visitors have gone for the moment and work presses on. The house is moving along, plastering finished and the roof tiling has begun. Pics to follow. The carpenter has fitted door frames so the tiling to ground floor can also begin when the tiles arrive from Athens. Lets hope they get here in a more timely fashion than our furniture. Martin has made a cover for the purgular so we have shade on the roof. Will add more pictures as sure they explain the process much better.

My job going well. Many hotels to visit and so little time. Difficult to explain my role however I am very busy and feeling very challenged!

You are not keeping eyes on those last minute deals, Easy Jet had flights for £19.99 each way fro end of May, expected at least 1 or 2 visitors for a long weekend at least......

The weather is fantastic, clear blue skies, temps in high 20's, warm balmy nights......

Started work

Work going OK. Strange to have to work for a company here as so used to pleasing myself. However really enjoying my new role most of the time. Can get a little sticky when you find issues and the owner does not/will not see the same thing.

House news, elextricans have finished 1st fix and the plasterers restart in the morning which is great news. Looks like real rooms downstairs now.

Visitors - Barlie and Polly have returned home, great to see them both! Nanny Knowles and Dad arrived a few days ago and are enjoying the sunshine. We have all been to the beach today. A great day was had by all!
